I’m a Special Ed. Teacher/ Intervention Specialist for students with moderate to intensive special needs in grades K-3. I’ve been teaching for 8 years, have Ohio teaching licensures in Early Childhood Education and as an Intervention Specialist, and have an M.A. in Educational Technology. I also hold a Reading Endorsement. I’ve had the privilege of working with kids with autism, Down syndrome, genetic disorders like Prader-Willi and 2q37 Deletion syndrome, hearing impairments, cerebral palsy, speech and language impairments, specific learning disabilities, Asperger’s, ADHD, and cognitive disabilities. I love being a leader, but I enjoy challenging myself by learning from others in collaborative groups. My passion is kids with special needs and how to help them learn best. I feel my strengths lie in differentiating, building rapport with students, writing IEPs and other reports, and integrating technology into the classroom. I love learning and want my students to love learning too. Please check out our class blog- staff.bbhcsd.org/kolism.
