Shelly Terrell

Shelly Sanchez Terrell is the VP of Educator Outreach for Parentella and the Social Media Community Manager for The Consultants-E. She is also the co-organizer and co-creator of the award winning educational projects, Edchat and the Virtual Round Table conference. Her prolific presence in the educator community on Twitter has been recognized by several notable entities, such as Ed Week, Converge Magazine, the 140 Conference, Mashable, English Central, Tefl.net, and T/H/E JOURNAL. The New York Times learning blog has included her on its list of the top 78 educators to follow on Twitter. Her education blog, Teacher Reboot Camp, is ranked as one of the top 50 best blogs for education leaders and one of the top 10 English Language Teaching blogs. Presentation Title/Description: The 30 Goals Challenge for Educators: How Will You Be Inspired?

Would you be a more motivated language teacher if you had a support network of 1000s of teachers rooting for you? The 30 Goals Challenge is in its 2nd year and has shown how through social networks and mobile apps, like Facebook, Twitter, blogs, podcasts, vodcasts and other tools, educators are helping each other become better educators. They are completing goals together and offering help as well as ideas! Find out how you can participate in this journey by joining this workshop. Discover the goals, how they impact your instructional methods, and see real examples of teachers worldwide integrating the goals in their classrooms.

    • All you have to do is click the links that we post on the day of the conference (July 31) and you will be in the web conference. From there you can be as active a participant as you would like to be. If you would like to be on our mailing list, register for the site. We send everyone on the mailing list periodic updates.

  2. This sounds like an interesting experience, but can you update the Continuing Education Credit App document. It currently refers to last year’s dates and says 2010 all through it. If it was current, I could present it to my administrator.

  3. Hi Shelly ( or whoever can help me!)
    i’ve signed up for the site a number of times, and I need to receive an e-mail to activate the membership, however I haven’t received any. 😦
    Can I still participate in the conference? Or can someone activate me?
    Looking forward to it!
