Joquetta Johnson: IWBs…Not Your Mother’s Chalkboard

Joquetta “The Digital Diva” Johnson is a library media specialist, tweeter, edublogger, and ningster. She provides instruction that integrates 21st century skills and literacies into all curriculum areas at Milford Mill Academy, a large public high school in Baltimore County, Maryland. As a Promethean Instructor, Joquetta works with a cadre of teachers, school administrators, and pre-service teachers preparing them to use Interactive Whiteboard Technologies to engage 21st century learners throughout the state of Maryland.  Her willingness to share her expertise with others and her knowledge of digital resources and instructional technologies has earned her the title of “Digital Diva.”

Presentation: IWBs…Not Your Mother’s Chalkboard

Description: Good teaching paired with the effective use of IWB technologies can provide engaging, meaningful, and interactive instruction that motivates and cultivates our students’ need to be learners for life and support student achievement. Participants will be provided with IWB resources that support teaching and learning in the 21st century.
